How to Whisk Matcha in 5 Seconds
The chasen is a whisk traditionally used to make matcha tea. Our high quality chasen is handmade from bamboo and perfect for whisking your matcha in 5 seconds.
How To:
- After your whisk has soaked and is ready for use, add 1-2 teaspoons (or one hefty wooden scoop) of Muy Matcha to a bowl or large mug.
- Add just enough water to cover matcha powder (about 4 tablespoons).
- Using your chasen, vigorously whisk in the shape of an "M" until frothy.
- Once frothy, you can pour your matcha over your choice of drink (8 oz of milk over ice or hot for a latte).
Best Practice:
It is best to place the whisk in hot water for a few seconds to soften the bamboo before using.
To clean simply rinse under running water "shake" and place on stand.
Storing your Chasen on the stand ensures the prongs dry and help retain the shape.
